Dr. Jay F. Nunamaker is Regents Professor and Director of the Center for Management of Information at the University of Arizona. He was a faculty member at Purdue University prior to founding the MIS department at the University of Arizona in 1974. Under his leadership for twenty years, the department has become known for its expertise in collaboration technology and the technical aspects of MIS.
In 1996, Dr. Nunamaker received the DPMA EDSIG Distinguished IS Educator Award. The GroupSystems software resulting from his research received the Editor's Choice Award from PC Magazine, June 14, 1994. At the GroupWare 1993 Conference in San Jose, he received the GroupWare Achievement Award along with recognition of GroupSystems as best of show in the GDSS category. In 1992, he received the Arthur Andersen Consulting Professor of the Year award. Dr. Nunamaker received his Ph.D. in systems engineering and operations research from Case Institute of Technology, a M.S. and B.S. from the University of Pittsburgh, and a B.S. from Carnegie Mellon University. He was an original member of the ISDOS project (PSL/PSA) under the direction of Professor Daniel Teichroew at Case and the University of Michigan from 1965 to 1968.

Professor August-Wilhelm Scheer, founder of IDS Scheer AG and both founder and chairman of the supervisory board of imc AB, was directing manager of the Institute for Information Systems at the Saarland University from 1975 to 2005. He is member of the senate of the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft, president of the Federal Association for Information Technology, Telecommunications and New Media (BITKOM), vice president of The Voice of German Industry (BDI). Professor Scheer was councillor of the Council for Innovation and Growth of the German Federal Government from 2006 to 2008. In 2003 he was honoured as the “Entrepreneur of the Year” in the category IT and was awarded with the Philip Moris Forschungspreis.

Dr. Peter Zencke served as a Member of the Executive Board of SAP AG from 1993 to 2008. Over the course of his 25 years within SAP, he played a vital role in a number of strategic development projects at SAP including SAP R/3, SAP CRM and several industry solutions in retail and manufacturing. In the years 2004 – 2008, Dr. Zencke was responsible for the development of SAP´s On-Demand Midsize Enterprise Suite SAP Business ByDesign and the new Enterprise SOA architecture. Furthermore, he was also responsible for the coordination of SAP's global research activities. Peter Zencke studied Mathematics and Economics and holds numerous posts at research and educational institutions worldwide.
